Report of the Special Rapporteur on torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment: Mission to Georgia, Manfred Nowak (2005)

This report presents the findings and recommendations of the Special Rapporteur on his mission to Georgia. Despite that torture is criminalized under their national law, the Special Rapporteur still acknowledged its use within the country. He also mentions that those suspected of drug trafficking are held in temporary isolation of the Ministry of State Security.

The report also presents individual cases where allegations of ill –treatment were made by several detainees.
