Mary Kapron is a Research Associate at the International Centre on Human Rights and Drug Policy. She has a range of international human rights experience including working for UNHCR Canada, Asylum Access Ecuador and the Colombian Campaign Against Landmines. She is a licenced lawyer with the Law Society of Upper Canada and most recently, was working as counsel at Global Affairs Canada on consular cases.
Mary recently completed the LLM in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at the University of Essex. She completed a BA in International Development Studies and Spanish at Trent University and has a J.D. specializing in International Law from the University of Ottawa.
