UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: Concluding Observations on Denmark (2004)

The Committee issued these concluding observations in 2004, following consideration of Denmark’s fourth periodic report. In paragraph 22, the Committee expresses concern about high rates of drug consumption and alcohol abuse in Denmark, as well as about ‘the conditions of those who suffer from mental illnesses caused by such consumption and abuse’. In paragraph 35, the Committee recommends that Denmark continue to implement programmes to prevent illicit drug consumption, tobacco use, and alcohol abuse.
