The Committee issued these concluding observations after considering the second periodic report of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (Libya) in 2005. In paragraph 19, the Committee expresses deep concern about the increase in HIV/AIDS infections in Libya and the fact that approximately 90 percent of recent infections resulted from injection drug use.
