In this report, the Special Rapporteur discusses capital punishment, being concerned that this penalty is applied in some countries for crimes which do not fall within the category of the "most serious crimes", such as drug-related offences. She reminds the States that the fair trial standards should be respected in proceedings relating to capital penalties.
