C.G. and others v Bulgaria (App no 1365/07) ECHR 24 April 2008

The applicants are C.G., is a Turkish national residing in Bulgaria with his spouse and a daughter. In 2005 C.G. was arrested on suspicion of drug-related offences and was expelled to Turkey. The applicant complains that the act of deportation has violated his rights to respect for private and family life. He also relies on the right to an effective remedy and procedural safeguards relating to expulsion of aliens.
