This article is an excerpt from 2006 INCB Annual Report. It discusses the international regulation regime for some particular drugs and features of the unregulated market for these drugs. The article also addresses the demand for the unregulated markets, and specific issues emerging in this regard such as counterfeit drugs and internet-based drug markets. Further, the article discusses the requirements of a regulatory system and presents INCB recommendations on how to fight unregulated markets.
