UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: Concluding Observations on Afghanistan (2010)

The Committee issued these concluding observations in 2010, after its consideration of the report submitted by Afghanistan under articles 16 and 17 of the Covenant. In paragraph 33, the Committee notes with concern the presence of drug production and trafficking in the country and urges Afghanistan to adopt a comprehensive counternarcotics strategy that does not adversely impact the enjoyment of economic, social, and cultural rights.
