Date: 25 January 2006

The Committee issued these concluding observations in 2006. In paragraph 16, the Committee criticizes the high rates of tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drug use in Austria, especially among minors. Later, in paragraph 30, the Committee recommends that Austria ‘intensify its campaigns against such abuse’ as well as provide adequate counseling services to all people affected by addiction.
