UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: Concluding Observations on China (2005)

Date: 13 May 2005

The Committee issued these concluding observations in 2005, after considering the initial report of China (including Hong Kong and Macao). In paragraph 115, the Committee expresses concern with high consumption of illicit drugs and ineffective enforcement of drug prohibitions in China. The Committee recommends, in paragraph 125, that China strengthen its programmes to prevent illegal drug consumption.
