UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: Concluding Observations on Guatemala (2003)

The Committee issued these concluding observations in 2003, after consideration of Guatemala’s second periodic report. In paragraph 418, the Committee notes alarm at the increasing rate of drug addiction in Guatemala, especially among youth. In paragraph 436, the Committee urges Guatemala to take measures to combat drug addiction, including educational and awareness-raising programmes.
