UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: Concluding Observations on Liechtenstein (2006)

Date: 09 June 2006

The Committee issued these concluding observations after reviewing the initial report of Liechtenstein in 2006. In paragraph 19, the Committee expresses concern at the abuse of illicit drugs, such as cannabis, in Liechtenstein, especially by children. In paragraph 35, the Committee urges Liechtenstein to continue education campaigns on the risks of drug consumption and to include data on these programmes’ effectiveness in its next periodic report. The Committee also recommends that Liechtenstein ensure the availability of adequate counseling services for all persons affected by addiction.
