UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights: Concluding Observations on Iceland (2003)

The Committee issued these concluding observations after considering the third periodic report of Iceland in 2003. In paragraph 229, the Committee expresses concern about high alcohol and drug consumption in Iceland, especially among young people. In paragraph 239, the Committee urges Iceland to take effective measures to address these high levels, particularly among youth.
